"Concerns about food nd taking blood on John Procter ward"

About: Lings Bar Hospital / Inpatient Nursing and Rehab (Lings Bar)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

It is painful when I give a sample of blood, they sometimes try 5 times.

The food is like school dinners - I would like to see steak on the menu and chocolate gateaux.

Thank you for sharing your comments following your recent stay at Lings Bar Hospital.

I am sorry that you found the experience of having blood taken a painful one. We do have patients on occasion who it is very difficult to take a sample from due to their physical condition. All of the clinical staff who take blood samples are fully trained and try to be as gentle as possible.

Patient food is cooked fresh here in the hospital's own kitchens, we try to make the meals as tasty and nutricious as possible; all menus are approved by our dietician. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your meals and will forward your comments to the catering manager with a request that the menus be reviewed.
