"maternity shambolic"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

My partner was booked in for tuesday to get induced as she had obstetric colestasis and was told there was a risk of stillbirth after 37 weeks, she was 37 weeks on the monday but with it been a bank holiday she was booked in for tuesday everything was going ok up until Wednesday when a male doctor came to remove the propez peserary and examine her yo see if she needed another, I felt that he did this very roughly and got my partner flustered and upset then basically told her hes not doing it and went off again without a apology or anything its only when I asked if she could get examined by a female doctor they came to do it again but this time the female doctor kept reassuring my parter and making her feel comfortable total opposite to the male doctor, the next day the second propez was removed and we were told we were on the waiting list for labour ward but it might be a few hours, 3am Friday morning they woke my partner to say they were taking her to labour ward to get her water broke the midwife tried but she was unable to do it so said that we had to wait for a doctor, it wasn't until 10am when the doctor finally came into the room along with the midwife and 3 other nurses/doctors and basically said they are to busy and sent us back to the main ward (18) and saud we will be called back later on when they aren't as busy we are still waiting now at 8.30pm, the overall running of this maternity ward need looking at as I am appalled at what my partner has had to go though at a time when is stressed and hormonal anyway, the midwives did a fantastic job but they could only do so much, i just think the male doctirs need to work on the way they talk to and treat the female patients they are supposed to be caring for I would not recommend this hospital at all for the maternity ward
