My husband is in the unfortunate position of having an undiagnosed life threatening condition and this means he has to spend time every month in ward 3. It is obviously a very stressful and traumatic time for both myself and my husband and for our family too. From the very beginning of this experience the staff on the ward have been absolutely fantastic, from the consultants through to the housekeeping team. I know I can speak for my husband when I say there are times when we both feel completely vulnerable and scared and the staff all take the time to make sure we're both ok. They are able to manage his condition and the very unpredictable situations that arise. They are completely professional and competent in their work and we both feel so much safer knowing that he'll be on ward 3. It is clear that they are a team who are used to working together and making the most of their individual strengths. I actually can't find any other way to express my sense of relief and gratitude to the ward staff other than to give them public acknowledgement.
