I went to the urology department in Southmead as I presented with a 20 year history of bladder problems. I was expecting the consultant to do everything in his capacity to find out why I have such problems but despite me presenting a bladder diary I received a letter regarding the ultrasound which made my 20 years of bladder problems pale in comparison to the 2 days of records of my bladder diary. Where is the comparison?? I have had this problem for 20 years and oh it was all because I wasn't going often enough! I do not like being educated to train my bladder, I'm sorry, I don't accept the outcome of this at all. Just because my ultrasound was normal doesn't mean everything is normal. Could it not be a neurological problem? Possibly. Was this suggested or investigated? No. Even when I do empty my bladder nothing comes out. So how is it anything to do with me? If I don't feel the urge to go there is a problem. Very very disappointed. I feel as though my symptoms and 20 year history of bladder problems has just been shrugged off as if they are nothing.
"Disappointing handling of my case"
