"Thank you to person in the Mortuary"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

My Father sadly died last month, I was due to have lunch with him but sadly he died and I didn’t know whether visiting him in the mortuary instead would be the right thing to do. I spoke with a person they discussed all that I should consider, they were extremely caring and helped me decide. I attended the hospital, they had primed reception, they came to meet me, they were so considerate & patient as I was understandably in such a mess! They made it possible for me to say goodbye to my Dad, they answered all my questions and dealt with all the arrangements to make my visit as easy as possible. I am so grateful to them-they should get some sort of award for professionalism and customer care. Too many times people complain about the NHS-the service my father and I received was excellent-thank you.

Dear Helen Thank you for taking the time to write at what must be a difficult time for you. May I offer you our sincere condolences on the death of your father. Your kind comments will be passed on to the staff in the mortuary and bereavement offices who will be much appreciative that their professionalism in such a situation has been recognised. With Kind Regards, the PALs team
