"Breast Centre"

About: The Great Western Hospital

Following a mammogram taken under the breast screening programme, I was recalled to the Breast Centre for further tests. Understandably, I was obviously very nervous, anxious and worried. I checked in at reception and didn't have to wait long before I was called for a mammogram by the radiographer, who explained the reason for my recall and was very gentle and caring. I then had another short wait before I was given an ultrasound. At all times, everything was explained and the utmost was done to try and put me at ease. My appointment lasted less than half an hour.   I cannot praise the staff enough for the kindness, consideration, understanding and professionalism that they gave, on what could have been a very hard for me. Thank you so much.

Many thanks for your comments. I'll make sure that they are passed to the team, who I'm sure will be pleased to hear how the care they gave was so appreciated.
