"Ward 36"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My husband was treated on ward 36 during August 2014. The staff on this ward worked professionally and tirelessly to ensure that their patients were nursed and cared for with the utmost respect and dignity. Any questions I had regarding his treatment were answered promptly. Once able to feed he was fed by staff and kept hydrated at all times. The extended visiting times on this ward worked well. The Matron was visible and approachable. The Staff Nurses who cared for my husband were amazing as were all the support staff and student nurse. I was always given an update on his condition and felt able to approach the Doctors when necessary. His doctor is a wonderful doctor, professional at all times but empathic and generous with his time making you feel special even when you might not want to hear what he has to say! Thank you ward 36 for working so hard , not just for my husband but all those who find themselves on your ward.

Dear reviewer, Thank you for your kind words which mean so much to all the staff that work on ward 36. A significant amount of staff were recently attending their yearly mandatory training up date when the news of this post came through. They were all delighted and proud to hear such positive feedback. Best Wishes Matron Katrina Toland On behalf of Ward 36 team, LRI
