"what a joke!!"

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

Went into a&e today as i have nerve damage to the brain, and have horrendus pains in my neck and back. When i got to see the doctor he was to busy on his phone that to listen to me, he said you can go home take paraceptmol(that ive been on for 9 weeks) it doesnt help! Also told me to go salford royal and they will help further.... thanks alot!!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your experience was not as positive as we would hope when you attended in August 2014. It is important to us that comments are heard and seen as an opportunity provided to the service to make changes and improvements wherever possible. We would like to apologise for the comments made by the doctor who reviewed you as this is not what we expect from our staff.

In response to your comment, regarding the doctor not listening to you, please be assured that your concern has been shared with the medical staff in the Emergency Department. Effective communication between staff and patients is of the utmost importance if staff are to respond to and effectively treat patients.
