I was admitted to the emergency admissions unit on the Jenner ward on consecutive Wednesdays with a suspected TIA (transient ischaemic attack). On both occasions, the wait to see the doctor was far too long, especially when I was not feeling well. The second time was in fact worse as I was admitted at 7.00pm and first saw a doctor at 4.00am the next day. The staff were not helpful (on occasions rude) and there was a complete absence of information regarding my progress.
