"Nothing but reassurance from paramedics"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I unfortunately had to have an Ambulance when a sudden sharp pain under my rib cage come out of the blue doubling me up causing me to catch my breath.

My partner rang 999 and within minutes "Ben & Steve" were at my side calming and reassuring me. After task n air they stayed with me til I was comfortable n stable again.

I kept saying sorry as after having my gall bladder removed two years ago felt maybe I had eaten or drank something to cause the pain. I had nothing but reassurance from them both. And As a result I Will be going for further investigate

Dear Dolly Anne

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope you are feeling much better now.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients when they need us most.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto Ben and Steve who came to your aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the date and address that the ambulance attended? This would allow me to identify the staff involved and ensure they are recognised for the care they gave.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
