"Children's A&E"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I would like to mention that we received a great service from the A&E department when my 3 year old daughter fractured her arm and we subsequently attended the A&E in March 2014. Although the department was busy and it was quite late at night, the staff members were very helpful, especially the doctor who saw our daughter. The doctor was excellent with her and requested for appropriate investigations and explained the diagnosis very well to us. We were kept informed about the whole process. Follow up appointment was booked instantly with the Fracture Clinic and the A&E team made the whole experience very comfortable for us. I would like to thank the A&E staff and wish them all the best.

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to submit them. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We have a quarterly At Our Best Awards scheme which recognises staff achievements and thanks them for what they do. It has a team category, an individual and a volunteer category. You could enter the team/the person you were kind enough to write in about, by clicking here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/At_Our_Best_Awards Many thanks
