"Breast Care Unit/Treatment Centre - First Class"

About: Milton Keynes Hospital

I had breast surgery and cannot fault the treatment and professionalism of the staff during the pre-assessment and on the day. The relaxed approach in the Treatment Centre makes the whole experience less daunting, and it was a nice touch having a TV lounge. The staff in the BCU, especially one in particular, were lovely and helped me through the procedure. The facilities were spotless and well-ordered and everyone I came into contact with was friendly and responsive. This is my first direct experience of an NHS hospital although my Mum had a minor stroke and was treated in MK last year. I have nothing but praise. Having lived overseas, I am so grateful we are able to benefit for such first class service without worrying about medical insurance or our bank account. I doubt if I had been treated privately I would have received any better care, although the sandwich might have been a bit fancier! Please convey my gratitude to all in the BCU and The Treatment Centre/Anaesthetists and Operating Theatre.
