After having a couple of bad experiences with both my parents being treated at Watford General a few years ago, I felt that I must now say what a great change there has been. My very elderly father has been admitted twice recently following a couple of falls and whilst there is still rather a long wait in A&E, once he got into AAU and then onto a ward the treatment and care has been excellent. There is a really good atmosphere on the wards and the staff are extremely caring and attentive. They have listened carefully to my father and to the family and have taken notice of our worries and concerns. They have done everything possible to help my father get well and it is clear that they really do care about their patients. If there is one thing that could still be improved, then it is the hospital food. Whilst the choice is quite good, the quality is still poor and a few pence more per meal might make a big difference to people getting better a little sooner. I would like to thank everyone at Watford General for their care and commitment - you've been wonderful.
"An amazing improvement"
