"Lack of equipment at the walk in centre"

I visited my local walk in centre yesterday evening, which was open until 10pm which is excellent. I went in because a cotton bud was left in my ear.

I was seen very promptly by a nurse and so far very impressed by the service. She proudly tells me that she has just that day been on a course dealing with ear problems...excellent...

But she did not have any of the tools she needed in order to remove the cotton bud from my ear.

What is the point of having a walk in centre which advertises that it deals with foreign objects if it cannot?

She refered me to another hospital, whose consultant in charge was less pleased to deal with me.
