"Mild Stroke Victim"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

Attended A&E last Tuesday 12th August 2014. Whilst I had to wait a couple of hours ( it happened to be extremely busy at this time) for investigative treatment, I would like to praise ALL staff at Casualty and in particular Ward 22 where I received treatment. The staff were caring and sensitve and acted in a professional manner at all times. This professionality was mirrored by every member of staff from ancilliary to consultant level. I thank the hospital staff for making this ordeal more bearable due only to their expertise and professionalism. Extremely well done and thanks to all.

Response from North Tyneside General Hospital

Dear John, What a lovely note about your care - thank you so much for taking the time to share it with us. I can only imagine how frightening the sudden onset of stroke must be. I am glad this was mitigated a little by the professionalism and responsiveness you found in A&E and the stroke unit. I am also delighted that you found comfort in every member of staff you came into contact with - it is exactly that sort of consistent excellence that we aim for every day. I will ensure the staff concerned all have the opportunity to learn just how much you have appreciated their support. Please take good care of yourelf and let us know if there's anything else you need. With all best wishes for a great recovery, Annie
