"Nursing Care"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

I attended the hospital on 6th Aug after a failed suicide attempt. The treatment I received in A&E was fantastic. I arrived at approx 1615 and was fast tracked through. The HCA was sympathetic and did not try to judge. She cannulated me with great care and then took me and my husband to another room to be seen by the doctor. On hearing that neither me or my husband had eaten all day, she quickly brought a chocie of sandwiches and hot drinks. S/N was brilliant. Transferred to the CU Unit approx 1945. Night S/N was brilliant as was HCA. After a stay overnight, the am staff of S/N and a HCA were also brilliant. My only gripe is with the psychiatric crisis team who did not I feel treat my case with any urgency or care.
