"Post-operative wound complications"

About: The New Selby War Memorial Hospital

Had an allergic reaction to skin glue used during major surgery at another hospital. Turned into an infection a couple of days after discharge. All happened on the weekend, so was initially seen by out-of-hours GP at Minor Injuries Unit. Needed wound care for several days and painstaking removal of surgical glue. Nurses were brilliant, all highly professional, but very warm and caring, really looked after me fantastically, going above and beyond to spare me further pain. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Thank you for your feedback, which we greatly appreciate. The Minor Injuries Unit at Selby is run by staff from Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust and I am delighted to learn that they provided the sort of high quality care that we always expect in your case. I will ensure that your comments are passed onto the team concerned. Yours faithfully Chris Watt Head of Communications Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust
