"Complete lack of communication!"

About: Stafford Hospital

My mother-in-law has been in Stafford twice recently and I found the standard of care and communication very poor. the only time staff took notice of what you had to say was when you got angry, then they all developed "slope shoulder syndrome". On both occasions they discharged her when she was still ill and with ne clear diagnosis. She still has the same symptoms reoccurring and is terrified of going back into hospital. On a recent visit to mums GP we discovered that the hospital had at some point diagnosed ecoli - which was the first time we or mum had heard this!

I am sorry to hear that your mother-in-law has had two bad experiences whilst recently in our care. We really try hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients and would therefore value the opportunity to discuss her experiences more fully and to apologise in person. I would therefore appreciate it if you would be willing to contact the PALS department on freephone 08000407060.

Kind Regards

Angela Grocott
