My mother had a two week stay here post a stroke. She received excellent care at the Torbay Hospital in Torquay and was then transferred to NA Community Hospital. We cannot fault the care in any way at all. Every single member of staff was kind, patient, proficient. And the post hospital care she is now receiving from the rehabilitation team of carers, physios and occupational therapists is similarly fantastic. My mother is fiercely independent and was initially very resistant to having carers in her house. Without exception, she has deep respect and fondness for all in the team who visit her . . and that gives those of us who live some way away - great comfort. I have one suggestion . . . not being very knowledgeable about hospitals and staff members and what each person does . . . it would be helpful to give patients some sort of colour coding key that helps them distinguish a nurse from a cleaner from a student nurse (etc. etc). All deserve equal respect - but it would have helped us ask the right person the right questions.
"Could not fault it"
