"Neurology EEG and Hair cleanliness !"

About: Southampton General Hospital

After 24 hr EEG the leads that are on your head have to be stuck down with glue and removed with a strong chemical , once this is done you are left to travel home with the glue and chemicals stuck in your hair and there is nowhere you can wash it off , a female friend patient asked if she would be able to and the staff involved looked very disinterested ! She even had to wash her hair in the toilets and everyone stared at her ! It's not good if you have a skin condition or you are female ! No Dignity!

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to consider your experience. I am very sorry that we did not find a way to address your need to attend to your hair at the time of your visit. Your feedback has been passed to the Neurophysiology Dept for them to consider what resources they have available.
