"Hysterectomy"

I feel extremely lucky yo have been able to have had my total hysterectomy at the Alexandra through NHS funding. Having had experience of treatment in both environments it's so obvious the NHS needs serious reviews. I came to see the consultant initially at the start of July and had investigatory surgery as a day patient then came back for total abdominal hysterectomy on 4th August. The consultant and nursing staff - every single one of them could not do enough for me. The consultant came to see me every day keeping me fully informed along the way. Room was cleaned daily and the food was completely edible with an excellent menu choice. Although I would never choose to go into hospital I feel totally privileged to have been treated at the Alexandra.
