I'm writing this having read other posts on here and it seems to be only the negative experiences are posted. People with a positive experience just don't seem to feel the need so I want to rectify this as my experience of East Surrey was amazing through pregnancy and birth.
At 33 weeks I had to start visiting the day unit twice weekly for blood pressure checks and every midwife I saw, and there were quite a few, was lovely. At 37 weeks I had an appointment but my waters had broken that morning. I went in explained my situation and Rosa who saw me, was an angel. I was dilating quickly enough but there was no way she was letting me go home, she was determined to get me into the delivery suite. Sure enough she did.
Sam, my midwife in the delivery suite, was fantastic. Due to my baby's heart beat I was eventually rushed into theatre for a c section but everyone kept me informed throughout. Once recovered and over the following 3. 5 days I spent in hospital, every single person whether it was a midwife, a paediatrician, a breast feeding specialist, even the food delivery lady were all lovely, friendly and informative. I couldn't have wished for a better experience
