About: University Hospital Of Hartlepool

I had my first baby here midwives were lovely and helped me every way possible. I am now pregnant again and would love to use this service again but midwife said things are changing and I might not be able to don't think im going to feel comfortable going anywhere else. I would love to be able to use the birthing centre again brilliant experience first time round.

Dear Nathalie - thank you for your comments and congratulations on your pregnancy. We sure you're looking forward to the arrival of your second child. We are reorganising our services to make them better for women Hartlepool so that the midwives who look after you during your pregnancy will also deliver your baby in the midwife led unit. As long as your previous pregnancy, labour and delivery were straightforward, the baby was well and you are not outside the age limit for being able to have a safe delivery in the unit, you should still be able to have your baby there. Please speak to your midwife again if you have any more concerns. Alternatively please contact patient.experience@nth.nhs.uk or phone 01642 624719 and our colleagues in our patient experience team will be happy to help you.
