About: Wansbeck Hospital

Admitted on a mixed day ward (six beds) for an angiogram in August 2014. The staff were very good at getting me relaxed and settled in. It was a mixed ward, but the staff were very good at maintaining peoples dignity at all times. They were very professional and caring for all the patients. The toilets (which in some hospitals can be a bit messy) were clean and tidy at all times when I visited them. I can't thank them enough for making me comfortable and carrying out the procedure quickly and efficiently. My only gripe is having to pay for parking (which is £4 for 24 hours), which is affordable for me, but may not be for those who have to regularly attend hospital. Having said that it's cheaper than some other hospitals I could mention.

It is really reassuring to know that is was both efficient and dignified at every stage in your caRE. All our staff really appreciate it when their patients take time to provide them with feedback. I know how pleased they will be to read your comments. In particular, thank you for giving our domestic team some feedback regarding the cleanliness the of the toilets. They all work very hard to maintain the high standards of cleanliness at the hospital, so this recognition of their work is well deserved. I do understand your comments regarding the parking. We aim to keep our charges as reasonable as we can and regularly check them against other hospitals in the area to ensure we are among the cheapest. Thank you for your recognition of this.
