"Staff drop what they are doing to help you"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) / Diabetic medicine

(as the patient),

I find it difficult to sleep at night on the RD Lawrence Ward as other patients can be a bit loud and disturbing but in general I am very happy with the experience. The staff are overworked so can’t jump to attention but they do their best to meet your needs. They are very courteous and most of all they help keep your dignity which is very important to me – it is the only thing that keeps me out of hospital.

The environment is good but the ward is a bit stuffy, the heat is difficult to deal with but the AC is on which I appreciate. I was surprised to see how clean the ward is, I had heard the hospital was not very clean. I was in here years ago and the grade of satisfaction has doubled. The food is better and there is lots of new equipment. No matter how much you ask for things the nurses always drop what they are doing to help you. A TV would be nice or something of interest to take up your time.
