"I was satisfied with most aspects of my referral"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a carer),

I was satisfied with most aspects of my referral to Physio dept.

I would point out that I thought 2 letters and 2 phone calls-message left on my home phone and a call on my mobile (I was in Wales), is a little excessive. A reminder was also left on the answer phone as well as a text to my mobile re actual appointment, making a total of 2 letters and 4 phone messages but if it prevents missed appointments then it must be necessary.

Dear Lizard750

Thank you for your feedback following your recent experience of booking an appointment using the TRAQS Service.

TRAQS do try to contact patients by phone and text message initially, if unsuccessful we do send a letter to the patient asking them to ring in. We do this as the telephone numbers we use have come via a 3rd party and are not always correct.

The hospital have recently started to use a telephone reminder service to avoid patients missing appointments.

I appreciate that it can appear a little excessive but as you state in your feedback it prevents missed appointments so is worth it.

I thank you again for sharing your comments with the team and I hope that you are benefiting from your treatment.
