"Day Unit Care"

I was in the Day Unit for pain treatment. I cannot fault any aspect of my stay (albeit short), From the moment I walked into the unit I was treated respectfully and the care was superb. At every turn the staff made sure I understood everything that was going to happen and explained every form that was filled. The staff were very kind and when the theatre staff came for me, after they checked to make sure they were taking the right patient they then chatted to me and put me at my ease. While the procedure was happening all the staff were friendly and chatty helping me to relax. The procedure went smoothly and when I was returned to the ward I was met by efficient, caring staff who again did all that was necessary to ensure I was ok. I was then asked if I would like tea and a biscuit. I was honestly so blessed by the whole team who efficiently and with much care looked after me on 'The Elmstead Day Unit @ Colchester General Hospital. Thank you Yvonne Goody
