On Thursday 29th May I had an accident at home and was taken by ambulance to A & E at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The care and attention I received was brilliant! - by all the staff - porters, nurses and doctors. They discovered that the accident was more serious than first thought and arranged for me to have surgery at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital in Oswestry, the next morning. Although it was pretty busy in A & E, every staff member made me feel quite special and I felt that I was the only patient they had to deal with. In particular a nurse who looked after me was so nice. She helped me to deal with the pain by chatting to me in a calming and helpful manner. There was a young registrar on duty whose name I cannot discover, who worked very hard on my behalf to ensure that I was entered on the list for surgery the next morning. Thank you to all the staff at A&E. P.S. The ambulance staff were also quite brilliant - thank you.
