"Treatment for a nose injury."

About: Wexham Park Hospital

I visited A&E in the evening of Monday28th July. That was the worst part of my visit - a wait of some four hours to be seen. However, once I was being dealt with everything was absolutely first class. I had badly cut the bridge of my nose and the on-duty doctor decided that I should see the Plastic Surgery team first thing the next morning. On returning there was a couple of hours wait as the surgeon (wonderful!!) was operating elsewhere. But when she came she put me completely at ease and managed to stitch a flap of skin back in place, which had been thought non-viable in A&E. I spent a week with my daughter, being unable to return home as I use spectacles. The stitches came out yesterday in the Plastics clinic and the wound is healing well and no further treatment necessary. Our much maligned NHS is simply wonderful and I think too many of us take it for granted. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou...

Dear Mrs Ford Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your recent visit to Wexham Park Hospital. I am sorry that you had to wait some time to be seen in A&E but I am delighted to hear how positive the experience was when you saw the team. I know Mr Misra, Clinical Lead for Plastic Surgery will be very pleased to share your lovely comments with the team that looked after you the following day. I hope you continue to recover well and wish you all the best for the future Claire Marshall Associate Director of Patient Experience and Public Involvement
