I attended A&E 7.7.14 around 4pm with severe back & abdomen pain. I was seen immediately, triaged & taken straight through to cubicles. I received excellent care from all staff involved & discharged later that evening after thorough testing & examination with a diagnosis of biliary colic. The doctor treating me explained things very clearly & ensured I understood, not minding a second explanation as I was a little woozy from painkillers. As a follow up I attended an appointment for an ultrasound scan to confirm the initial diagnosis on 1.8.14 Again I was impressed with the facilities, especially the check in procedure & the volunteers who were offering help to anyone needing it. I was seen a few minutes before my appointment time as the previous patient had not turned up & dealt with efficiently; again everything was explained fully. I cannot speak highly enough of my treatment so far at the new facility & if surgery is necessary I will certainly opt for Southmead.
"Excellent treatment so far...."
