What I liked
The doctor was concerned and thorough
What could be improved
the care for people with Dementia.
Anything else?
My Mother was sent back to her Residential Home after several hours of being in casualty and the Assessment Ward covered in her faeces. She had obviously not been cleaned. People with Dementia are ignored and not always treated with dignity and respect. I have been there on a number of occasions with my Mother and have witnessed nurses ignoring, laughing at or shouting at these people. There should be more training for the care of people with Dementia. Like my Mum because of her Dementia, she cannot speak proper words and so cannot express or explain how she is.
