"Hip replacement at the PRU"

Don't bother if you need a hip replaced at the PRU, I've been waiting 45 weeks ( yes fourty five weeks) and have just been told that there is no likelihood ' in the foreseeable future' of me being attended to. In the waiting time I have become almost immobile, cannot leave the house without help from my wife, and nobody seems to care. What a shambles.

The telephone number is 01689 863 252 and the email address is kch-tr.PALSkent@nhs.net I am very sorry to hear of your waiting time for surgery. The majority of our planned Orthopaedic surgery is now being undertaken at a specialist Orthopaedic centre at Orpington Hospital which has been well received by patients. Theer are however a number of patients who have other medical problems which make them clinically unsuitable for surgery on that site and are awaiting admission to the Princess Royal site. We are undertaking action to resolve this problem as quickly as possible and if you would contact us we can seek to look at your case.
