Recently whilst travelling from Australia to England I had a heart attack. I visited the GWH and within 28 hours had been operated on. The care given in the cardiology unit was exceptionally high. The doctors were quite communicative and interested in you not simply as a medical unit. Nurses were generally very cheerful but always caring. I was given the opportunity to participate in decision making on both the operation and on going treatment. I came away feeling that the NHS and in particular GWH were very functional. I think I was very fortunate to be admitted to Greater Western.
"As good as one could expect"
