"The Royal Hospital- Inguinal Hernia Repairment Operation "

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital Urgent Care 24 (Liverpool and Knowsley NHS Out of Hours Provider)

(as the patient),

Well, I had a severe pain on my left inguinal side two weeks ago, but I didn't know that it will end up to an operation. I just googled "urgent care in Liverpool" and I got a phone number for urgentcare24. When I telephoned them, they advised me to go to Swan Walk in Centre in L13 area which was the nearest care centre open in a weekend as I live in L15 area.

Afterwards, I went there as soon as the nurse checked me, he wrote a letter immediately and he sent me to The Royal University Hospital in Liverpool. When I went to The Royal they explained to me I needed an Hernia repair operation and they told me to sign a letter of consent in order to let them do the operation.

And after getting the anaesthesia I went to sleep and when I woke up everything had finished successfully. I liked the care they have provided. The doctor who has done the operation was lovely she came to see me again by the next day.

I stayed there for 2 nights (a total of three days) and while I was in the hospital there were several nurses at day shift and at least one at night shift, so there was always somebody to take care of the patients for 24 hours, food and all other services were great. We were 6 patients at the same room Peter, Bell, Edward and two Toms (Tom and Tomi): ) They were all so nice people I enjoyed my stay there and everyone had different health problems.

However, I think it would be nice if there were different categories of patients for example those have cancer it nice to host them in one room so they can talk to one another and kind of mentally heal each other. And to categorise them based on age (e. g, to host young in one room and old people in different rooms).

Kind regards
