My daughter had a very poor experience with a male consultant dermatologist today. She was worried about her acne and found him abrupt, dismissive and unwilling to discuss treatments and risks. He did not examine her and wanted to simply prescribe what is a somewhat controversial treatment but unwilling to offer her reassurance. For something so sensitive for a young woman this was very unhelpful and detrimental experience.
