I would award good star ratings as a general thing for medical staff but just a word about reception...I had a lunchtime appointment at Rosie and my partner needed a courtesey bus at lunchtime for an appointment ...the enquiry desk was unmanned and we didnt know the procedure to get the bus. Eventually a clerk arrived sour faced and when asked 'Oh OK I will ring for one' in a huff with no greeting at all for us. It struck me that the usual pleasant and helpful volunteers were nowhere to be seen...I had not been there for at least 5 years..why the change? I used to praise this aspect of Addenbrookes highly as I have no head for direction and used to get lost and confused In previous years the guides and volunteers have saved me from panic attacks and got me to my appointments on time. The courtesey bus is a welcome benefit but the driver crashed into some unseen large object on the way back whilst muttering the whole time to someone on a radio telling them jokes! The doctor was pleasant and helpful but chewed gum throughout the consultation...not a good image Addenbrookes!
"Lack of courtesey?"
