"Outstanding Professional Care"

It was recently necessary for me to undergo a total knee joint revision. I can only send an enormous thank you to all involved in my care and rehabilitation, and say that if only the politicians and managers cared about individuals as much as consultants, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and everyone else at the DGH do, this hospital would be building on its strengths, not fighting for survival. The care and support I have received have been outstanding and now - some 4.5 months after the operation, this is still ongoing. I have achieved more than I ever thought possible and it is down to the professionals. Thank you so much - I only hope that the system comes to its senses and reverses these appalling decisions, which will, sooner or later, bring about heartache for someone.
