"Sick of this service"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

I have had to finally leave a review about this place. I have lived in Boston for 14 years and I teach in the area. I have taken many students, several family members and I myself have needed the hospital on several occasions. EVERY single visit has been a bad one. I have NEVER been seen in A&E in under THREE hours which I find appalling. And just to clarify some of these included quite serious injuries, including when my head had to be glued back together with blood running down my face. The nurses in A&E just sit around chatting, I have personally listened to a 25 minute coronation street chat whilst in agony! I was told I have sprained my ankle by a nurse, a tuby grip applied and sent hobbling on my way, a week later of still being in agony I was diagnosed with complete ligament tear. 3 years down the line my ankle is still not right thanks to the initial mis-diagnosis. The reason I have finally chosen to review my local hospital is that my other half is still sat in A&E with a ballooned leg after a weird bite has given her another knee, 4 hours later still not seen and the A&E is empty as it was 715am!! I could go on and on about the terrible service, neglect and mis-diagnosis that family, friends and learners have suffered, not to mention the horrific hurry stories I have heard! What I would say is my sister in law had her baby and the maternity ward was good. Basically avoid the place like mad unless your having a baby! If you need A&E try and survive to Skegness or Grantham would be my advice!!!
