"Excellent Staff and care!"

About: Royal Free Hospital

I delivered my baby girl on the 23rd June and was touched by the excellent level of care provided by the midwives and doctors who got involved during delivery. My baby's heartbeat was dropping during contractions, the doctors and midwives acted promptly, and very professionally. They explained to me what was happening at every step and what actions they were undertaking and why they were doing it. They made me feel at ease and luckily just when I was being prepared for emergency c-section things turned around very fast and it was safe to deliver vaginally). We stayed in hospital for 3 days as my baby and I were on antibiotics for treatment of an infection. From the beginning, I met a midwife in Triage who was wonderful, a midwife who induced me and looked after me in the antenatal ward, words cannot express my gratitude, your were great!. Many thanks to the student midwife and midwife who looked after me in the labour ward, your patience and words of encouragement cannot be expressed in writing. Special thanks to the midwives who visiting me in the postnatal ward the following day. Much gratitude to the doctors whose expertise turned around what would have been a difficult delivery to a memorable experience, I felt you were in control and that calmed down my fears. Not forgetting the midwife who discharged us, you were very friendly. Overall, it was a good experience for a first time mum made possible by great team work and would definitely use Royal Free Hampstead again!

Many thanks for taking the time to comment - glad you were pleased with your care. Will make sure this is passed on to the staff.
