"I had a total knee replacement ..."

About: St Richard's Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had a total knee replacement operation and like three years before the treatment I received was first class. We are so fortunate in Chichester to have such a superb hospital and every aspect of my stay was top notch

What could be improved

If I am being incredibly picky I feel that the nurses should not have to stop what they are doing to take food around the ward

Anything else?

All staff I have come into contact with are caring whether at 3am in the morning when being called for the 7th time because a patient wants to be made comfortable once again or when cleaning up vomit and worse.

Dear Mr O'Brennan

Thank you so much for your kind words - they are truly appreciated. The high standard of care that you experienced is a reflection of the pride that our teams have in caring for their patients and I'm delighted that you rated your treatment as first-class. I will pass your comments to the teams who looked after you while you stayed with us for your knee replacement, and I hope that you have made a good recovery after your operation.

Yours sincerely

Tara Lennon-Jones
