"Why book an operation, Part 2"

About: Southmead Hospital

I left an entry on July the 14th regarding my fathers lack of operation. Today was D-Day part 2!! A totally different experience, from the staff at Reception to the very hard working nurses in the General Surgery department and on the ward to the Surgeon who performed the operation were professional and respectful. The NHS is something to be proud of when it works. I have read the other reviews and can understand the anger, we are not asking for a lot,just the right to have trust in the staff and building looking after our loved ones. When it works, it works well. Stop buying stupid clocks that no one can tell the time from and invest the money in getting it right every time.

Dear Si – thank you for taking the time and trouble to post your feedback about you and your father’s experience. I was pleased to learn that some aspects of his treatment and care improved on the second visit and assure you that we are working to improve the services as they settle in to the new Brunel Building.
