"A&E and Dedham ward, outstanding care."

About: Colchester General Hospital

I was admitted to A & E on 16th Jul 2014, and was seen promptly and diagnosed with a heart attack. The staff were extremely busy, but kept me informed about my condition at all times. I was transferred to Dedham Ward to recover and my treatment there was equally as good, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very caring. The ward was cleaned daily and the food was well above what I was expecting. The staff, although being rushed of their feet, found the time to explain fully what was happening to me, and what my treatment would be. My experience, although I wish I didn't have it, was absolutely first class. It pains me to see the negative press when my treatment could not have been better. Mine, and my families, thanks go to everyone who I came into contact with. Keep up the good work, you are truly appreciated.
