"Bad practice"

I just watched a nurse attempt to take my mums canula's out, firstly the nurse dropped the cotton wall on the floor just out side the room, picked it up and continued to attempt to take it out, it was only when I challenged the nurse did the nurse stop, say oops then said I was right, the nurse then went to get some new cotton wall. When the nurse did take it out, the nurse just placed the dirty needle directly on the bed table, the nurse then picked the needles up in the nurse's hands and walked out the room with them.
