"Wish i never had to take services from this..."

About: University Hospital (Coventry)

Dont get your child born here. Worst possible place to be for delivery. You can never know what, when and how. There will be no doctor visiting you anytime when you are in pain or need. Consultants are over burdened. Midwives are lost as they dont get any info from doctors. I wish i never have to visit here for anything.

Thank you for providing feedback on your recent of the maternity service at University Hospital, Coventry in July 2014. It is disappointing to read about your experience. However, you have not given much detail and we would very much welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns with you about what went wrong. I would urge you to get in touch so we can better understand where we can make improvements to our service. If you feel this would be useful please contact the Trust’s Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0800 028 4203. If you would prefer to contact us by e-mail, our address is feedback@uhcw.nhs.uk Alternatively, you can write to us at the following address: - PALS University Hospital Clifford Bridge Road Coventry CV2 2DX In recent months the maternity team have made great gains to better the experience women have within maternity. They have encouraged new mums to take advantage of the Friends and Family Test cards as well as use our own Impressions survey to give feedback on their labour/birth and postnatal care. In direct response to this feedback they have introduced a number of new initiatives including allowing partners to stay overnight, increased the number of nursery nurses and provide forums that allow mums to recent better information before they are discharged. If you do decide to contact us, please make us aware that you have left comments on the NHS Choices website. The Trust is grateful for all feedback, positive or negative, as it means we can better understand what is important to our patients. Thank you for leaving your comments on NHS Choices.
