"Receptionist not paying attention to details when booking appointment"

About: East Anglia

(as a parent/guardian),

I phoned to request an appointment for my son to see a GP at my health centre. When I got there, my son was booked to see a nurse. I am a nurse myself and there is nothing that nurse can do that I cannot do except maybe prescribing. It was a total waste of time and a real inconvenience. I was not happy with how my case was dealt with. I was coming from a night shift and will be doing another night shift. I could have gone straight to bed if they had been honest with me that they cannot accommodate us that day. This kind of service is not acceptable. Something needs to be done. If reception staff are not paying attention to details, it could potentially lead to a very serious consequences. I need a written apology from the centre. The appointment was for my son.
