About: Patient Opinion Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I have never seen such a “dumbed down”, irrelevant or condescending piece of rubbish in all my life. I am 52 years old not 4, if you have patients who have to talk (or draw! ) please give them some help. If you want a story to make a difference ask the author.

How dare someone “Independent of the NHS”

A) Have a say in how I am treated and B) have access to my confidential records without my permission. I am quite sure this is illegal and will be taking it up with my doctor.

N. B. TRAQS? ! = Another complete waste of my money.

Dear 61sc

Thank you for posting on Patient Opinion. It sounds as if you received a leaflet from TRAQS asking for your feedback.

I'm really sorry you found the leaflet condescending. I can understand that drawing your feedback may not be at all relevant to you. For some, who are not confident writers, drawing how you felt does make sense.

To clarify, Patient Opinion simply collects and publishes your feedback. We have no say in your treatment, and no access to any information about you, other than what you enter on the feedback leaflet, or this web site.

I hope that's helpful.

Dear 61sc

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback via Patient Opinion to the TRAQS team.

It would appear from your comments that you did not receive a TRAQS Patient Leaflet from your GP at the time of your referral. I can only apologise for that as we have provided all GP practices with a supply of leaflets to ensure that patients are aware of the process a referral follows from the time the decision is made that the patient needs to be referred on further treatment.

I am sorry to hear that you feel that TRAQS is a waste of money. TRAQS began in June 2012 and exists to offer patients/carers support when referred by their local GP for further treatment. TRAQS are able to offer a Choice of NHS provider anywhere in England and we have been received very positively by the majority of patients using our service who feel that the TRAQS service is a valuable service for patients/carers within our area.

Thank you again for taking the time to give feedback. We value all feedback received as it is used to develop the service further for the benefit of patients registered with GP's within the Telford and Wrekin area.
