Attended urology clinic 4 21/7/14 with my father following referral by his GP on 17/7/14 and was informed we were not in the appropriate clinic for presenting condition. Following brief examination, to include urine dipstick indicating no abnormality detected, and request for further investigations, my father was admitted to Louth County Hospital yesterday, 22/7/14 and is now having fluid replacement/intravenous antibiotics to treat an acute kidney infection. He was already on an oral dose of antibiotics prescribed by his GP last Thursday. Why we had to attend an appt. at Lincoln when we live in Louth and he could have been treated at our local hospital for this infection is beyond my comprehension.
