I was referred to the Eye clinic by my optician for severe 'red eye' investigation at around 16.40 on 21 July 2014. As the clinic closes at 17.00 I was given an appointment for 1445 the following day which was convenient for me. Although I'd been warned about long waits I was seen by the triage nurse at 14.45 and a doctor at 15.00. The problem was identified (severe inflammation arising from inadequately managed pollen allergy) and I left with my prescription at 15.20. I was also given advice on adequate long term management of my underlying pollen allergies which my GP had failed to provide earlier this year when I developed eye allergies for the first time. People are always ready to complain when things go wrong so I thought it would be fair to offer some praise when it's due. Thank you.
"Excellent emergency treatment at the Eye Clinic"
