"absolutley the worst place ever"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

I went to a & e last night for my eye i was sat waiting for three hours people who had been there ten minutes where going through before me there was a lady who had cancer her doctor called to tell them she was coming they made the poor ladt wait for over three hours its a disgrace i had ago at them and walked out there system is complete waste of time the staff are rude i am putting in a offical complant about them. Do not reccamend.

I am sorry you had such a poor experience of the waiting area in the Emergency Department. It is difficult when you are waiting to see why some people go in quicker than others and obviously there is no view of how busy the department is. Patients are called through according to priority of need following a triage process which does unfortunately mean that, at times, there can be a long wait.

I will pass your comments about staff being rude onto the matron in the Emergency Department so that he can look into it further.
