"Awful Consultant"

About: Torbay Hospital

I have been under the eye hospital for over twelve months and during that time they have either been really really good or really really bad, I have found that waiting for appointments when they have asked to see you in a month tend to be forgotten and left till way after the month one time i had to wait 3 months. Also think there emergency line is terrible to as know one answer you have to wait to be called back after leaving a message and they take hours how that can be an emergency line i don't know. Also this time I had to be referred to a new consultant for Glaucoma who is a horrible consultant he has no manners does not listen to any patient history and what has happened in past. Was very slow between patients and had wait over 1 and a half hours only to find him to be hurried when I got in to the room and he did not seem to have time to listen to how things were or care that i was uncomfortable and in pain, He also did not seem to like that I was under a other consultant as well as him he had given me a diagnoses but still wanted me to see the Glaucoma specialist to sort out my drops. It has made me not want to see him again and got to a different hospital at either Newton Abbot or Exeter so i can see a better consultant. I am also in the process of making a complaint via s.e.a.p as he was awful and his attitude was so wrong. I just wanted to let people know on here so if you have to choose to see a Glaucoma consultant you can see the good and bad and then decide where to go,
